The Swope Art Museum in Terre Haute, which houses most of Gilbert Wilson’s collections, requires a $35-per-image preparation fee for the book to include all of his Moby Dick images. The total will be about $6,000. This is a standard practice for museums to cover the costs of preparing high resolution images needed for a publication. The Swope is a 501(c)3 institution.

“The Swope is enthusiastic about this publication on the work of Terre Haute native Gilbert Brown Wilson,” says Susan Baley, Executive Director of the Swope Art Museum. “We are gratified that the Museum’s 2016 exhibition of Wilson’s Moby Dick-related murals has inspired Robert Elder to pursue this publication. Wilson’s work is indeed worthy of greater nationwide recognition.”
